Before joining FGP Jes helped build strong communities in her work as Director of Resource Development at United Way in Buncombe County. She managed a dynamic team of resource development professionals who raised millions of dollars annually for the community to fund United Way’s work in areas of Education, Income, and Health. That work allowed Jes to become deeply involved with the business community and build strong relationships with the workforce and leadership of the Western North Carolina region.
Jes graduated from Texas A&M University in 2000, and is currently working on her doctorate in Management specializing in Leadership and Organizational Change. During her studies she has researched the intimate connection between employing great people and building great organizations. Her professional experience and education have naturally led her to Find Great People, Intl., and she is now helping build great companies in Western North Carolina.
Jes is actively involved with Highlands Circle, United Way’s Emerging Leaders program and Leadership Asheville as a former Board Member and Chair of the Fellows Advisory Council. She is also as Adjunct Faculty Member of AB Tech and other local Universities. In their spare time, Jes and her husband Toby run, cook, and travel. They also love to spend time with their rescue dog, Alex.
