Diversity Training

Our certified Diversity and Human Resources professionals can help you develop an inclusive workplace culture where everyone feels welcome and engaged.

Successful organizations set themselves apart from the rest by producing superior products and services, delivering uncompromising customer service and creating a work environment that maximizes the potential of all employees. This last element is likely the most critical. Without a work environment that fosters trust, respect and diverse thinking, organizations can not fully utilize the vast array of experience, knowledge, creativity and ingenuity that resides within their workplace. Our certified Diversity and Human Resources professionals can help you develop an inclusive workplace culture where everyone feels welcome and engaged. Some key ideas of FGP HR Consulting’s Diversity Training include:

  • Defining terminology used when discussing diversity
  • Shifting demographics and trends in the United States
  • The socialization process--how people and organizations evolve
  • The stages and benefits of cultural awareness
  • The various dimensions of diversity
  • Respect guidelines for effective workplace interaction

We also provide Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) services to Federal Contractors and Subcontractors as required by law. AAP works to ensure that all individuals have an equal chance for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Organizations who are not Federal contractors can utilize FGP HR Consulting's AAP services to ensure diverse workforce in terms of race and gender. A diverse workforce allows all points of view and focuses on using the talents of all human resources. FGP HR Consulting AAP Services may include, but not be limited to, the following basic components:

  • Creation of Job Groups
  • Utilization Analysis comparison of the race, sex and ethnicity of the workforce by jobs groups.
  • Statistical analysis of the contractor’s workforce against the relevant labor market to determine if parity exists or if the job group is "underutilized".
  • Development of goals and projected time tables for achieving balance or underutilization of minority groups.
  • Development of action-oriented steps to achieve the organization's goal of reducing underutilization.
