This is a direct hire Human Resources Business Partner role working onsite in Rutherfordton, NC.  You’ll have the opportunity to partner directly with the Plant Manager and HR Director.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the recruiting and staffing needs, taking a proactive stance in cultivating a suitable pool of candidates for critical roles.
  • Conduct interviews and oversees candidate assessment processes.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to plant management, offering HR support to the Plant Manager.
  • Provide analyses and recommendations in various areas such as recruitment, worker’s compensation, employee relations, performance management, organizational structure, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Advocate for employees, resolving issues, and collaborating with plant staff to develop practices and policies.
  • Provide training, counseling, and coaching on employee relations, performance management, employee development, and HR processes, including policy interpretation and action recommendations.
  • Ensure high levels of HR service and fosters open, constructive communication among functional areas and human resources.
  • Coordinate HR initiatives with the HR Director and Plant Manager, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the purpose and value of the initiative within the work environment.
  • Coordinate new employee orientations to familiarize employees with company culture, requirements, expectations, policies, and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations. Communicates and follows procedures to maintain the integrity of HR data for the plant.
 
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years professional HR experience required within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated history of strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent customer service, and follow-through.
  • Familiarity with key FLSA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations.
  • Strong verbal/written and presentation skills, coupled with analytical, organizational, and project management proficiency.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office programs and HR information systems.
 
Compensation & Benefits
