Marion joined FGP in 2017 as an Associate Recruiter and was quickly promoted into Business Development. She serves clients in the upstate of South Carolina by developing talent solutions across multiple industries. Marion's role is to understand each of her clients' culture and talent needs and effectively communicate between each client and the recruiting team, ultimately finding the best people to fill their positions.
As an Associate Recruiter, she supported the professional staffing team in our Greenville office. She conducted recruiting calls, interacted with candidates regarding open positions, and scheduled interviews. She also handled reference calls and other miscellaneous projects as they arose.
Marion graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Prior to joining FGP, Marion worked as a Human Resources Assistant for a financial corporation where her main role was handling recruiting for the holding company. Her duties included coordinating job postings, candidate interviews, pre-employment checks, offer letters and onboarding. She also served as the first point of contact for the Human Resources department at the holding company and handled administrative duties.
Marion also has experience as a Sales Manager for an apparel company that specializes in custom apparel and merchandize for college students. She managed a team of sales representatives, collaborated with leadership to develop sales and marketing strategies and maintained a strong customer loyalty and company culture.
What is your favorite game or sport to watch or play? Football! I try to go to a few Virginia Tech and South Carolina games each season.
What do you love to do outside of work? I have a heart for animals. I’m always doing something active with mine when I’m not working. I have a horse and ride multiple times a week. On the days I don’t ride, I’m usually trying to convince my very lazy dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback named ZaZu, to go on a walk around Greenville.
What is your personal life motto? Clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. – Colossians 3:12
