Steve is one of FGP’s most tenured employees, in fact he was part of the team over 30 years ago when it consisted of just seven people. After working from the ground up in the professional and executive search division, Steve serves as Vice President and a member of the Executive Leadership team.

In his role Steve oversees the growth of FGP’s Executive Search, Professional Staffing and Human Resources practices. He is also a leader in the firm’s Outplacement services which includes career transition and coaching. Steve is passionate about developing lasting relationships with new and existing clients across all FGP sectors. With more than 30 years in talent acquisition, he is a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) and frequent speaker on recruitment and organizational leadership.

As a long-standing leader of the firm, Steve has played a vital role in the management of what has become one of the fastest growing recruitment and staffing firms in the country. He was instrumental in FGP’s initial launch in technology recruiting back in 1990. For five years he also he led FGP’s Executive Search division and revenues grew 500%. Steve’s passion for serving stands as strong today, as it did more than 30 years ago and he’s a proud ambassador of the FGP brand and what it stands for.

What’s the last book you read and what did you think?

I have been a big fan of many books written by Jim Collins including Good to Great but my favorite business related book is all about building your professional network called Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi.

What motivates you to work hard?

Since my first week on the job while a senior in college, I’ve been completely mesmerized by the opportunity I’ve been given to build great companies and advance the careers of genuinely talented professionals. There is an indescribable satisfaction when all my efforts are poured into helping others succeed!

What celebrity would you like to meet at a Starbucks for coffee?

I actually met Ron Howard and his family in Hilton Head at Starbucks. My wife has been a huge Andy Griffith watcher for years and there he was, standing in line right behind us talking with his brother about a movie they were producing. Even got an autograph to make it legitimate!
