What do you love to do outside of work?
When I’m not working I enjoy recreational sports, college football, travelling and spending time with my family and friends boating on the lake. Living in the upstate of South Carolina allows us to enjoy a great combination of outdoor activities, dining out, and exploring the history and heritage of the southeast, which are all great ways to re-energize when I’m away from the office.
What’s your favorite travel destination, or where would you like to go?
Everywhere! I have always had a love for travel and take every opportunity to see and experience many different destinations. I have lived outside the United States for over 9 years, including the United Kingdom, France, The Netherlands, South Africa and China – which were all wonderful in their own unique and respective way. Our family has travelled extensively around the world – providing a continuous education in diversity, culture and perspective. Some of my favorites thus far include evenings in Shanghai, hiking the active volcanoes of Costa Rica, over-night Junk boat trips in Ha Long bay Vietnam, or being on safari in Zimbabwe. Domestically, we have a family goal to see all 50 US states before our daughters graduate high school and are making great progress – we have just a few more to go!
What makes you laugh the most?
That’s definitely being around my husband! Dave is hilarious with his witty style, editorial comments, perspective on life while raising two active daughters, bad Dad jokes, and his overall sense of humor. We’ve been married for over 25 years and he continues to keep me laughing. Every day is a little more fun, funny and interesting with him at my side!
