Our client is a large, privately held organization specializing in the service industry, partnering with large organizations in a variety of industries. We are seeking an Area Vice President of Operations to lead their growing Charleston market. This team member is responsible for creating and maintaining a region with multiple branches, focusing on operational efficiency, revenue growth and client retention.

Location: Charleston, SC – Travel is limited to the great Charleston region with occasional trips to the company headquarters and industry event. Preference to candidates already local to the Charleston market.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with sales team to drive new growth in the market, working with new clients, expanding relationships with existing clients and focusing on exceptional customer service.
  • Focus on short and long-term operational strategies, working closely with senior team members to develop and execute strategy.
  • Lead all operational facets of the business, including finance, sales, HR and customer service with full P&L responsibility.
  • Provide leadership and development to Branch Managers and all operational and support staff, conducting annual performance reviews for all direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in general management with full P&L responsibility, preferably in the service industry.
  • Proven leadership and experience with managing effective client relationships with large, multi-faceted accounts.
  • Strong operational leadership experience, guiding business strategy and driving growth.
  • Ability to develop talent with he goal of internal advancement through the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal.
