We are seeking a professional Finance Director to join a growing company in Gaffney, SC. This is a full time, permanent, Direct Hire opportunity with full benefits. The ideal candidate will have prior Government accounting experience.
Job Description:
- Oversee the efficient management of the Finance Department, including accounting and financial planning.
- Assist with preparing annual budget and completing various reports related to the the financial status
- Direct the receiving, review, and processing of invoices, payroll, and the miscellaneous accounts receivable
- Ensure the administration of the Business License, Hospitality Tax, and Accommodations Tax ordinances.
- Oversee the efficient management of the Finance Department.
- Perform supervisory duties as instructing, assigning, planning and reviewing work of others; maintaining standards; coordinating activities; and allocating personnel
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in municipal budgetary planning, fund accounting, and debt management
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of experience in administrating finances in a government setting
- 10 years accounting experience
Hours:
- Full Time, 8:00 a.m. – 5:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Friday
- Permanent/Direct Hire
- 100% onsite
Compensation & Benefits:
- $65,000 – $70,000 Salary (Depending on qualifications & expereince)
