Position Summary:

The GISC Controller is the finance leader accountable for all finance and accounting-related operations performed in support of the company’s Manufacturing & Supply Chain (GISC) organizations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, budget planning and actuals analysis, ensuring the accuracy of the functions reported financials, and providing business/thought partnership to the Manufacturing and Supply Chain functional leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide finance support to the heads of GISC, Sourcing, and Supply Chain
  • Analyzes business results, providing periodic reports with valuable insights and proactive recommendations re: resources allocation
  • Supervise or perform general & cost Accounting for the plants – track, report, and manage total cost of production across variable inputs and fixed assets/plant
  • Monitor plant, supply chain, and logistics operation results against operating plans, and prepare reports to measure and control related activities and costs
  • Manage month-end closing and the preparation of financial statements and other operational reports
  • Preparation of the balance sheet and cash flow statements for the plant
  • Creation and review and manual journal entries as relates to these functions
  • Ensure detailed accounting in accordance with US GAAP and any international local statutory requirements
  • Providing leadership and guidance for Manufacturing and Supply Chain during budget planning, submission, and approval cycle/process
  • Provide proactive consultation advice on all Manufacturing and Supply Chain financial and operational matters to functional leadership and to the company’s Chief Financial Officer.
  • Share best practices across the global finance team, including potential process and workflow improvements

Organizational Relationships:

Reports to the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Will supervise a team that includes other Controllers and Analysts responsible for finance coverage of Manufacturing, Supply Chain operations and plant, both within and outside the US.  4 direct reports, total team of 8. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related fields
  • 7+ years of accounting and finance experience
  • 4+ years of experience managing accountants and accounting processes
  • 4+ years of large ($500M+) multinational experience
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations & reporting, including all key aspects of GAAP
  • Cost Accounting experience
  • Exceptional analytical and reporting skills
  • Exposure to key financial systems, including Oracle & Hyperion
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office modules
