A well-known client in West Columbia is looking for a Grant Specialist with excellent customer service skills, proficient with mathematical and financial concepts, and project/case management experience. The ideal candidate would have experience interpreting regulations and laws, working with grants, reconciling finances, invoices, timesheets, and staying organized with large volumes of documentation.
 
  • Reviews documentation (invoices, timesheets, contracts, etc) submitted by applicants for completeness and compliance with project scope, goals and eligibility.
  • Analyzes expenditures documentation to ensure consistency with grant provisions; implements proper procedures and corrects irregularities.
  • Monitors accuracy and status of documentation to assure that it is in accordance with federal program regulations and timelines.
  • Researches and interprets federal, state, and local laws, regulations and policies.
  • Works independently, prioritizes work assigned, and provides detailed reports of individual activities and progress.
  • Effectively and consistently communicates with program stakeholders.
  • Exercises excellent judgement and decision making and elevates any issues that require action or attention by leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel, and online platforms.
