We are seeking a professional Payroll/HR Specialist to join a growing team in Columbia, SC. This is a full time, 100% onsite permanent/Direct Hire opportunity with full benefits. The ideal candidate will have prior experience processing payroll and completing administrative HR Duties.
Job Description:
- Assists with payroll functions including preparing and processing bi-weekly payroll, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors
- Assist employees with updating time entries as needed
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records and documentation
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of files and records
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and employee events
- Provides clerical/administrative support to the HR and Accounting departments
- Assists with related special projects as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent, one to two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Acute attention to detail
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management and human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications
Hours:
- Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
- 100% onsite
- Permanent/Direct Hire
Compensation & Benefits:
- $45,000 – $55,000 (Depending on Qualifications & Experience)
