Plant Controller
National manufacturer is seeking an experienced plant controller for their Richmond, VA  facility. 

The Plant Controller is a key leader on the plant leadership team. They contributes to all areas of plant management and provide strong financial leadership. The Plant Controller is responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices. The incumbent will provide financial direction to the plant and provide recommendations to improve site performance. Plant Controller will work with corporate finance and accounting team to insure timely and accurate financial conditions of the plant and be able to communicate clear and concise facts comfortably.
The successful candidate will be process oriented and data driven, working to provide accurate and timely financial conditions of the plant. In this role, the candidate will utilize root cause analysis to identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy as well as improving the financial condition of the plant. As a team member, the candidate will execute special projects, initiatives as assigned, accept safety as a condition, and support factory operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
  • Implement internal and external financial reporting systems, controls, and procedures according to contractual requirements and GAAP.
  • Manage weekly expense reporting including A/P and expense analysis
  • Generate daily, weekly and monthly financial metrics on plant performance
  • Insure that financial information is communicated timely and accurately
  • Collaborates with Plant Manager, corporate accountants, and senior management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analysis
  • Direct all Plant-wide financial activities, including budgeting, expense analysis, and inventory management
  • Analyze and report daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s and set monthly spending goals.
Inventory Accuracy
  • Manage Cycle Count Program

Education and Experience Requirement:
  • College Degree Required (Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering preferred)
  • Experience with ERP System(s), Oracle (Peoplesoft) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
