A commercial insurance agency in Belton, SC needs an Administrative Assistant who can support the actual insurance agents with the administrative duties they need completed on a hybrid basis. While it would be great to have someone with a Property & Casualty background or even license, it's not a must-have as long as this person can prove their ability and experience in managing accounts while providing stellar customer service. 


Duties

  • Serve new and existing clients with their commercial insurance needs
  • Build relationships with current customers to help contribute to long standing accounts
  • Handle communication by phone and email with commercial accounts and insurance carriers
  • Explain policies, ratings, and other information from carrier to customers
  • Process renewals for commercial insurance, send out auto identification cards, claims, and policy information as needed
  • Get competitive quotes from insurance carriers for commercial customers
  • Process claims and payments and verifying policy and pricing information
  • Support commercial lines producers and account managers with their clients as needed


Qualifications

  • Either licensed in P&C or able to acquire it within a year of starting (paid for by the company)
  • Ideally experienced in some capacity with property and casualty insurance (though not a must-have)
  • Administrative experience in sales support, account management, or similar
  • Friendly, professional, and consistent customer service ability
  • Good written communication skills, grammar ability, and attention to detail


Compensation/Benefits

  • Direct hire
  • $40-$50k/year (higher end of that for those with P&C licenses or experience and may be negotiable if someone has more commercial lines experience)
