Job Summary:
Our construction client is looking for a Construction Estimator to join their team. In this role, you will help prepare cost estimates for commercial or industrial construction projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to gather pricing, review plans, and support the bidding process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Help create accurate cost estimates for construction projects by reviewing plans and documents.
  • Assist in measuring quantities and performing material takeoffs.
  • Work with other departments and subcontractors to collect and confirm pricing information.
  • Help maintain a database of materials, labor costs, and subcontractor quotes.
  • Support the preparation of bids and proposals for both public and private projects.
  • Participate in job site visits, pre-bid meetings, and walkthroughs as needed.
  • Help analyze project risks and suggest ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Review and revise estimates with the team to ensure they are complete and accurate.
  • Assist with handing off project information to the project management team after bids are won.
Qualifications:
  • 2–3 years minimum of experience preferred in construction estimating or similar work.
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Degree or coursework in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic understanding of construction materials, methods, and costs.
  • Willingness to learn estimating software like Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage time well and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with different types of project delivery (like design-build or hard-bid) is a bonus, but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $70,000-90,000

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm typically
