Controller | Manufacturing | Greenville, SC
We are leading a search for a Controller to join a global manufacturing organization with a strong footprint in the Greenville, SC area. This is a high-impact, onsite leadership opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced plant environment and is ready to take ownership of financial operations, drive continuous improvement, and serve as a key business partner to operations leadership.

The Role:
As Controller, you’ll manage all financial functions for the plant’s manufacturing operations. You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control, monthly close, and financial reporting while ensuring full compliance with corporate policy and SOX requirements. This is a critical role for someone who can influence operations through sound financial insight and help drive plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead general accounting activities, including cost accounting, standard costing, fixed assets, and inventory control
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports with analysis against forecasts and budgets
  • Manage the annual budget and quarterly rolling forecasts
  • Ensure accurate financial records, effective controls, and SOX compliance
  • Serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership, driving performance, profitability, and cost efficiency
  • Perform capital expenditure analysis and review proposals for ROI
  • Identify profit improvement opportunities and support implementation initiatives
  • Provide leadership to a small finance team, reviewing and mentoring staff
  • Support internal audits and ensure alignment with corporate financial policies

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting, financial controls, and inventory systems
  • Proven ability to translate financial data into business insight
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with operations and executive leadership
