Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Process semi-monthly payroll and confirm accuracy of 401(k) deductions and benefits
- Reconcile bank accounts and company credit cards
- Monitor and support cash flow tracking; initiate internal transfers when necessary
- Provide support during month-end close and assist with financial reports
- Serve as a backup for invoicing or payment entry when needed
- Manage benefits enrollment paperwork, 401(k) forms, and general HR admin tasks
- Support insurance renewals (general liability, cyber, workers’ comp, etc.)
- Coordinate with IT support on staff tech needs or office equipment
- Ensure business licenses, tax filings (city/state), and compliance documents are submitted on time
- Maintain SOPs for recurring financial/admin tasks and track critical deadlines
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Familiarity with benefits administration, insurance paperwork, and compliance tasks
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and prioritize deadlines
- Team player with clear communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
