Position Summary:
An industrial distributor in Greensboro, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to serve as a liaison between the sales, customers, and internal departments, including shipping/logistics, service and repair, and accounting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable in a dynamic environment, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service and technical support.


This is a temp-to-hire role on-site in Greensboro, NC for an established company. Pay is $25/hour.  

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact between sales, customers, and internal departments to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support related to pumps, parts, and services.
  • Continuously train and expand product knowledge to better support customer needs.
  • Manage the complete order process within the ERP system, including accurate order entry and coordination of order-specific requirements.
  • Prepare and send order confirmations to customers, ensuring all details are accurate.
  • Review vendor acknowledgments for shipping dates and pricing accuracy; resolve any discrepancies.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels; place replenishment orders as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to support sales efforts.
  • Obtain and communicate price quotes from suppliers and internal pricing groups for resale to customers.
  • Enter purchase orders on applicable vendor platforms.
  • Support the sales team by preparing proposals, presentations, and customer contracts.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all sales and purchase documentation.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with order packaging and preparation for shipment or customer pick-up, as necessary.
  • Manage Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) to ensure proper credits and customer resolution.
  • Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in admin support for a technical sales team (using ERP systems, quotes, purchase orders, etc.)
  • Customer Service experience within the industrial, manufacturing, engineering etc. field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to continuously learn about pumps and related equipment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and order processing preferred.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
