Job Title: Claims Customer Service Representative
Location: Columbia, SC
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay: $17.90 per hour
Assignment: 2–3 months, with potential for extension and internal growth opportunities
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Claims Customer Service Representative to support customers experiencing property loss due to natural disasters or other hardships. This role requires strong communication skills, patience, and professionalism while ensuring claims are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outbound and follow-up calls to update customers on claims and answer inquiries related to escrow accounts.
  • Provide empathetic support to customers facing stressful and emotional situations.
  • Clearly explain the escrow process, guidelines, and next steps in a way customers can understand.
  • Collaborate with insurance representatives to coordinate claims and maintain consistent communication.
  • Accurately document customer interactions, claims progress, and communications to ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with team members to manage caseloads and improve customer service processes.
Qualifications:
  • Previous customer service experience required; experience in claims, escrow, or insurance is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
