The ideal candidate will have 2 – 3 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping and be able to work effectively across multiple skillsets.
Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and process invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure proper coding, compliance with federal funding requirements, and accuracy of amounts.
- Confirm all required supporting documentation is complete and included in each invoice package prior to submission.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation to support all transactions.
- Establish and preserve detailed audit trails in accordance with agency and federal standards.
- Assist with reconciliations and preparation of reports for internal and external review.
- Track expenditures and payments against approved federal and state budgets.
- Monitor grant fund utilization to ensure compliance with spending limits and funding guidelines.
- Support fiscal reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed.
- Experience in accounting, grants management, or fiscal administration
- Working knowledge of federal funding regulations
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and accountability
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Takes initiative to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- $20 – $26/hr based on experience
