Position Overview

Company is seeking an accomplished and strategic Sales Manager to oversee business development and account growth within the textile chemicals and performance materials sector. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth through specialty chemical solutions used in textile processing and functional performance enhancement, managing an established sales territory in the Carolinas. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen in textile chemistry with a proven ability to deliver results in B2B sales environments across multiple industries including automotive, performance and industrial.

Location

Remote in North Carolina or South Carolina with 20-30% travel

Compensation

Competitive base salary + commission package, along with generous benefits package

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities in both domestic and international markets.
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business objectives and expand customer base.
  • Partner closely with internal teams to translate customer needs into tailored product solutions.
  • Continuously assess market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform business strategy.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Textile Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline highly preferred but not required
  • At least 8 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in chemicals
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational ability with proven experience managing multiple projects and accounts simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
