Our client is seeking a Project Manager to lead and manage cybersecurity-focused initiatives that strengthen the overall security posture. This role will collaborate across departments to ensure all efforts align with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and applicable state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, team-oriented, and able work under limited supervision. This position is remote but you will need to be able to come into the Columbia office ocassioanlly for meetings. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage small to mid-sized cybersecurity and IT projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Prepare project documentation including needs analyses, business cases, and feasibility studies.
  • Coordinate project activities, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure alignment with business and security goals.
  • Provide regular project updates, manage change requests, and maintain stakeholder communication.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with NIST CSF, FISMA, and related cybersecurity standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of project management experience.
  • 3–5 years of cybersecurity knowledge, including familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and FISMA.
  • 3–5 years of experience working in an IT environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks including CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS.
  • PMP Certification preferred.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or five (5) years of equivalent experience.
