We are seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team! This position is responsible for testing raw materials and finished products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications. The ideal candidate will also support research and development (R&D) activities, including sample preparation, data analysis, and plant line trials.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, hands-on laboratory experience, and an interest in working within a manufacturing or chemical environment.

Wellford, SC
$21–$25 per hour | Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control tests on raw materials, finished products, and development samples

  • Assist with testing and calibrating lab equipment for specific tasks

  • Prepare and label samples for shipping to customers

  • Maintain and sterilize laboratory glassware and equipment

  • Track and order lab supplies; verify inventory receipts

  • Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments

  • Maintain daily logs, reports, and data records accurately

  • Analyze results and prepare quality reports for management

  • Generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs) using lab software

  • Identify and report any safety issues or equipment malfunctions

  • Support special laboratory projects and assist team members as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Chemistry or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+ years of laboratory experience, preferably in a chemical or manufacturing environment

  • Strong organizational and data analysis skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods and lifting up to 35 lbs

Preferred Skills

  • Manual titrations and pH adjustments

  • Calibration of laboratory equipment

  • IR scans and product searches

  • Brookfield viscometer or automatic potentiometer operation

  • HPLC and GC experience (with guidance)

Schedule & Pay

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

  • Pay Range: $21–$25 per hour

  • Start Date: ASAP
