OVERVIEW

A retail spa in Columbia, SC is seeking a full-time Front Desk Manager to help lead a team of 5-6 spa associates. This role is ideal for someone with retail or spa management experience, and a confident customer-facing, retail sales personality. The Front Desk Manager reports directly to the Spa Manager/Area Manager and will help lead front desk operations, team performance, and membership sales metrics. 

DETAILS/DUTIES

  • Help oversee daily front desk operations

  • Provide approximately 12 hours (2 shifts) per week of direct front desk coverage

  • Conduct weekly meetings with Spa Manager

  • Run daily sales huddles reviewing progress toward goals

  • Conduct monthly performance check-ins with staff

  • Complete weekly phone call audits

  • Observe and correct team behaviors

  • Lead monthly team meetings

  • Oversee new hire onboarding and ongoing staff training

  • Coordinate Spa Associate scheduling and staffing levels

  • Collaborate with a Lead Spa Associate who will assist with administrative tasks

  • Maintain accurate processes for inactive and canceled members

  • Support gift card promotions and customer engagement during peak seasons

  • Work a rotating share of nights and weekends to support whole-team accountability

  • Participate in an established rotating schedule; occasional shift changes may extend coverage to 7pm

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Management experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, spa, or service-driven environments

  • Strong sales personality and ability to drive team performance

  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team 

  • Ability to create a positive, energetic team culture

  • Coachable, accountable, and comfortable holding others accountable

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Comfortable working on-site at the front desk in Columbia

  • Comfortable working primarily Monday-Friday 9-5 with some extended shifts until 7 p.m. and every 3rd weekend (subject to coverage needs and staying at 40 hours per week with make-up days off for weekend coverage)

PAY/BENEFITS

  • $42k-$48k/year

  • Monthly bonus based on team performance (conversion, active member growth, gift card sales during promos)

  • 7 Paid Holidays & additional PTO

  • No health benefits provided, but may be able to negotiate on total comp package
