Position Summary
Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains (GSTOP) seeks a visionary and dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead with passion, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to empowering every girl. The CEO will drive the development and execution of the Council’s strategic direction and oversee all aspects of operations, including community engagement, fundraising, membership development, operational excellence, and fiscal responsibility. This inspiring leader will foster strong relationships across diverse communities and guide the organization with strategic clarity, thoughtful leadership, and a bold, future-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Visibility & Impact
- Serve as a visible, approachable brand ambassador within the community.
- Advocate for girls and position Girl Scouts as the premier voice for girls at local, state, and federal levels.
- Expand connections across the Council territory to nurture relationships, increase visibility, and grow membership.
Program & Product Development
- Oversee development and administration of programs and products aligned with GSTOP’s mission and goals.
- Evaluate and advise on new initiatives to stimulate and sustain membership growth.
- Remove barriers to participation to ensure equal access and opportunity.
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the Board to implement and monitor strategic plans.
- Align business strategies with organizational mission and core values.
- Represent GSTOP in national policy discussions through GSUSA partnerships.
Fundraising & Financial Management
- Leverage relationships to identify donors and partners.
- Diversify and grow funding sources, including grants and corporate partnerships.
- Manage annual financial planning and ensure fiscal responsibility across all divisions.
Team & Culture Development
- Lead and coach a high-performing senior leadership team.
- Build a culture of engagement, empowerment, and collaboration.
- Oversee systems for volunteer recruitment and retention, and ensure HR processes support organizational goals.
