A leading Southeast law firm, is looking to hire a Workers Compensation Paralegal to support attorneys in their Charlotte, NC office. This role involves assisting with complex business and commercial litigation matters. This opportunity is Temp-to-Hire and is a remote position. The ideal candidate will be able to come to the Charlotte office for occasional meetings and depositions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal and factual research under the attorney’s direction
- Organize case files and manage document production
- Prepare subpoenas, discovery, medical chronologies, and reports
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel
- Assist attorneys with hearing preparation and maintain billable requirements
Qualifications:
- Associate degree and Paralegal Certification required; Bachelor’s preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in litigation
- Proficient in MS Office and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw)
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Detail-oriented with knowledge of legal and medical terminology
Compensation & Benefits:
- $21.63 hr – $28.85 hr
- 37.5-hour workweek and flexible schedule
