A leading Southeast law firm, is looking to hire a Litigation Legal Assistant  to support attorneys in complex litigation matters, including insurance coverage, torts, products liability, commercial transportation, and personal injury. This opportunity is Temp-to-Hire and remote. The ideal candidate will be able to come into the Charlotte office for the occasional meeting and deposition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule hearings and manage attorney calendars
  • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and reports
  • Organize case files and maintain court dockets
  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
  • Assist attorneys with hearing preparation and miscellaneous project

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s preferred
  • 1–3 years of relevant legal experience (litigation preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Westlaw and case management software a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information and work independently
Benefits & Compensation: 
  • $19.23 hr – $26.44 hr 
  • 37.5-hour workweek with flexibility
