This is a permanent, onsite position. The school year schedule is Monday – Thursday, 11am – 7pm; Friday, 10am – 6pm. The summer schedule is Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 1:30pm, Friday, hours vary.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a consistent and trusted point of connection between students, families, school staff, volunteers, and the organization
- Build strong, trusting relationship with students
- Design, plan, and execute creative, timely, and intentional activities and experiences
- Create an empowering, inclusive culture while maintaining high expectations and excellent behavior
- Coordinate with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and support staff to schedule, align, and facilitate in-school programming
- Develop understanding of individual student needs and create strategies towards growth
- Schedule, train, and direct volunteers, mentors, and community partners
- Support logistics and provide transportation services for the students
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience working with middle or high school youth
- Familiarity with trauma-informed, restorative, or youth-centered practices preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks; CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to build relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Patience, empathy, and emotional awareness
- Effective time management, organizational skills, and follow-through
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
