A non-profit organization in Columbia, SC, is seeking a Grants and Proposals Coordinator to join their team. The Grant and Proposals Coordinator oversees the research, development, submission, and management of grant applications and institutional funding requests that advance the organization’s mission and programs. This role collaborates closely with program, finance, and development teams to secure support from foundations, government entities, and other funding partners, while ensuring full compliance throughout every stage of the grant lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Grant Research & Funding Identification: Conduct research to identify grants and funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities. Monitor RFPs, funding trends, and sector developments, and maintain an updated database of prospects, deadlines, and requirements.
  • Proposal Development: Develop clear and compelling grant proposals by collaborating with program and finance staff to gather program information, data, and budget details. Draft narratives, goals, objectives, and evaluation measures tailored to funder guidelines.
  • Grant Application & Management: Manage the full lifecycle of grant applications, including preparation, submission, and tracking of proposals. Coordinate required materials and ensure timely submission of reports, renewals, and documentation.
  • Funder Relations & Development Support: Support relationship-building with funders, attend relevant events, and collaborate with the Development team on stewardship activities to enhance donor and funder engagement.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years of experience in nonprofit grant writing and grants management
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Health, or a related field
  • Demonstrated success securing grant funding, measured by proposal success rates and funding awarded
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with grant management or CRM systems required (Raiser’s Edge preferred).
Benefits/Compensation:
  • $65,000-$70,000 annual salary
