Our client is looking to add a Medical Front Desk & Records Coordinator to their team to serve as the first point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in ensuring smooth daily operations for the medical practice. This role is responsible for greeting patients, managing phone calls, supporting providers through accurate and timely EHR documentation, processing medical record requests, and maintaining efficient and compliant workflows related to patient information and communication. This position is a 30-day temporary assignment. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in patients, verify information, and collect necessary forms and payments
  • Schedule and confirm appointments and assist with general questions
  • Answer and route calls promptly, take accurate messages, and provide reminders
  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, and external providers
  • Accurately enter and update patient information in the EHR system
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with HIPAA standards
  • Assist providers with chart preparation and uploading necessary documents
  • Monitor and manage electronic task queues (messages, referrals, lab results, etc.)
  • Process all medical record requests in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Fax records, referrals, and other documentation to outside providers and facilities
  • Retrieve, scan, and upload medical documents into patient charts
  • Track and ensure timely completion of all faxed and requested documentation
  • Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain organized filing systems, logs, and documentation workflows
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement
  • Assist with office projects such as inventory management or patient communication initiatives

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service role
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, etc.)
  • Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills
  • Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and accuracy
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and standard medical terminology
  • Comfort working with technology, scanners, fax systems, and multi-line phone systems
Compensation & Benefits:
 
  • Hourly pay $18-$20hr
  • Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8 – 5 and Friday 8 – 12
  • Temporary assignment lasting 30-days
  • Weekly pay and ASAP start!
