We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support the Workers’ Compensation practice for a law firm in Columbia, SC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys within the Workers’ Compensation practice
  • Draft, edit, and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and court filings
  • Maintain and organize case files, calendars, and critical deadlines with exceptional accuracy
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Assist with discovery, document management, and scheduling
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation and hearing coordination
  • Handle billing, time entry, and other administrative tasks as needed
  • Ensure timely, accurate completion of work in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of prior law firm experience (Workers’ Compensation or insurance defense experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation/Benefits:
  • Salary Range: $45,000–$65,000
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Hybrid schedule after training
