We are seeking a professional and experienced Senior Medical Billing Specialist to join a growing team in Seneca, SC. This is a full time, permanent/direct hire opportunity with full benefits. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of medical or dental billing experience and will have experience processing Medicaid claims.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, review, and submit dental insurance claims accurately through electronic and paper channels
  • Monitor claim status and proactively follow up on outstanding, delayed, rejected, or denied claims
  • Investigate and resolve claim discrepancies, underpayments, and reimbursement issues
  • Prepare and submit appeals with appropriate supporting documentation
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage limitations, deductibles, and waiting periods
  • Communicate insurance benefits, claim updates, and estimated out-of-pocket costs to patients
  • Manage insurance accounts receivable and help reduce outstanding balances through timely follow-up
  • Post insurance payments, adjustments, and reconcile insurance accounts accurately
  • Ensure proper use of CDT codes and maintain compliant claim documentation
  • Maintain accurate patient insurance records and assist with reporting, collections, and other office support activities as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in dental or medical insurance billing, and claims processing
  • Experience processing Medicaid claims
  • Strong knowledge of dental insurance claims, reimbursement procedures, and benefits verification
  • Understanding of CDT coding and dental terminolog
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience supporting revenue cycle management initiatives
  • Familiarity with a variety of dental insurance carriers and reimbursement guidelines
Hours:
  • Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
  • 100% onsite
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $24 – $28 hourly
