Responsibilities:
- Manage detailed job and project cost accounting for DOT and private work, ensuring accurate tracking of materials, labor, and overhead
- Oversee fixed asset accounting for a large fleet of equipment and vehicles, including depreciation and job-specific cost allocation
- Support multi-state tax compliance, assisting with data preparation for complex tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
- Handle billing and retainage processes for SC and NC DOT projects as well as private sector clients, ensuring accuracy and contract compliance
- Assist with inventory valuation and cost control, collaborating with operations to maintain cost accuracy in production and materials usage
- Contribute to monthly close, financial reporting, and audits, delivering timely cost analysis, variance insights, and support for internal controls
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting strongly preferred
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree, preferred.
- Previous experience using Viewpoint Vista, a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Monday to Friday (standard business hours)

Compensation:
- $60-70k, depending on experience
