A property management company in the upstate is seeking a sharp and experienced candidate for an Accountant role. 

The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, have at least 3 years of accounting experience, and possess strong communication and collaboration skills.


Responsibilities:
  • Maintain general ledger accounts for multiple properties
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and property-level reporting
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections
  • Bill annual and quarterly assessments
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasting for each property
  • Support the preparation of year-end audit packages and liaise with external auditors
  • Monitor and track property expenses to ensure adherence to budgets
  • Assist with CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and property tax payments
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation in compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Respond to inquiries from property managers, tenants, and vendors
  • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or working toward CPA a plus)
  • 3 – 5 years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $60,000 – $80,000 based on experience and qualifications
