FGP has been retained by Richmond International Airport / Capital Region Airport Commission to identify an Accountant II to join their team. 

Accountant II
Pay Range: $59,917.09 -$74,896.36

About Us: Established in 1975 by an act of the Virginia General Assembly, the Capital Region Airport Commission owns and operates Richmond International Airport (RIC). The Commission directs the growth, operation and business activities of RIC and works tirelessly to ensure it continues to be an affordable option for local, regional, and out-of-state travelers. 

Description of Responsibilities: 
  • Maintains carry-forward schedules related to transactions in accounts created by bond resolution.
  • Formulate monthly and yearly cash flow reports and quarterly financial reports using the associated financial system.
  • Prepare assigned monthly and year-end journal entries, audit reports, and schedules.
  • Prepare monthly account analysis and reconciliations on investments, regular checking, parking, and payroll accounts.
  • Assist in preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow projections and predict operational and capital cashflow needs.
 
Required Experience:
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or a related field. 
  • At least three (3) years of professional accounting experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of principles, methods, and practices of accounting. (GASB, FASB, GAAP)
  • Ability to meet established deadlines and reporting dates.
  • Ability to operate an automated financial accounting system.
  • Strong Ability to pay close attention to detail when reviewing ledgers for accuracy and preparing detailed financial and statistical reports.
