Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AV Technician for a great client of ours! The ideal candidate is experienced in installation and support services for audio and visual presentation equipment (projectors, sound equipment, interactive white boards, running cable, etc.) and basic PC hardware support experience.
Responsibilities:
- Install and setup equipment used in technology enhanced rooms, including communication/collaboration/coordination with other trades and schedulers.
- Complete test of system when installed. Work with programmer(s) to resolve any outstanding issues or adjustments. Clean up after
- Responds to audio visual trouble calls/tickets. Diagnoses and fixes problems and failures. Assists and supports users of technology installed rooms with connection, instruction and operation of the AV systems.
- With user’s permission, makes adjustments to personal computer settings to allow the device to be used successfully with the rooms technology.
- Perform preventative maintenance on scheduled intervals. Maintain lectern PC hardware and load computer images by following established procedures, including swapping computer, monitors, keyboards, mice, etc.
Qualifications:
- Experience with setting up A/V equipment (projectors, sound equipment, interactive white boards, intercom systems, etc.)
- Should have experience running and terminating cable (RJ45, CAT 5, CAT 6, RS-232, BNC, RG6, RG59, etc.). That can include lacing, soldering, and crimping
- Comfort with using power tools
- Ability to lift heavy objects (there is a very real manual labor element to this role)
