Responsibilities:
- Change tooling to maintain set up defined by the planning documents.
- Operate machines to safely produce component parts to production and quality targets.
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, height gauges, snap gauges, bore micrometers, etc.
- Make tooling offsets as necessary to maintain product conformance.
- Track quality using various run charts.
- Segregate non-conforming products.
- Acquire and change out consumable inserts and tooling from plant stores.
- Perform tooling touch offs
- Communicate to Process or Cell Technician and Leadership as necessary.
- Escalate quality issues as necessary.
- Perform work by SOPs and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Production Coordinator
- Maintain housekeeping including mopping floor and emptying chips.
- Change machine fluids as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Five to seven axis horizontal lathes
- Gildemeister (DMG) and Tsugami S206s
- Fanuc Controllers
- Experience with tolerances less than 0.1 mm
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience with manual or Computer Numerically Controlled Horizontal Lathes
- Prefer experience with Statistical Process Control.
- Demonstrated Experience with gauging and blueprint reading
- Hourly pay starting at $27hr with $2 shift premium extra
- Training will last 6-8 weeks on 1st shift
- Shift is Friday to Sunday 6pm to 6am. If employee works 36 hours, they will be paid for 40hrs.
