Our manufacturing client in Spartanburg is seeking a Customer Service Associate to ensure exceptional internal and external customer service. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically inclined, and motivated to grow within our organization. This role requires a strong customer focus, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
This is a temp-to-hire position at $17-19/hour on-site in Spartanburg, SC.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support for inquiries and orders.
  • Maintain a customer- and service-oriented mindset, with the ability to promote and sell products when appropriate.
  • Respond to customer needs efficiently and in an organized manner.
  • Research and gather necessary technical and order information to assist customers and the sales team.
  • Review customer orders for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with terms, conditions, and scope.
  • Enter and expedite sales orders and purchase orders as needed.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Sales and Service departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and issue accurate quotations for customers and sales staff.
  • Process and follow up on Returned Goods Authorizations (RGAs) and Credit Memos.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records as required.
  • Evaluate inventory levels and contribute to effective stockroom organization.
  • Coordinate closely with the Shipping/Receiving department to ensure accurate and timely shipments.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth within the company.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • SAP Experience needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); basic knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to understand technical product details and communicate them effectively.
Compensation:
  • $17-19/hour
  • Temp-to-hire
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
