Our client in Plymouth, MI is hiring a Customer Service Specialist to join their growing team.

This position is onsite, temp-to-perm, and has pay from $20-$22hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the primary front-office contact by greeting visitors, handling incoming calls, and supporting overall customer service needs.
  • Supporting daily billing operations by preparing customer invoices, processing recurring billing cycles, and ensuring documents are delivered through the appropriate channels.
  • Assisting with accounts receivable by posting payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and helping coordinate collection efforts and reporting.
  • Managing invoice activity for customer portals, including timely uploads, status checks, and escalation of issues when needed.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and system updates related to customer accounts, billing activity, and collection notes.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to support operational tasks and ensure efficient workflow throughout the office.
  • Contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to support team success.

Requirements:

  • Experience in administrative support, customer service, billing, or accounts receivable–related functions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfort working within business systems and customer portals.
  • Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining thorough documentation.
  • Dependability, integrity, and the ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
  • A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to assist with a variety of operational needs.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Schedule: Mon – Fri 7:30 am to 4 pm
  • Temp-to-perm
  • Pay: $20-$22hr
