The Cycle Counter is responsible for performing regular inventory counts, identifying, and researching discrepancies, and ensuring inventory records are accurate. This role involves hands-on counting, use of handheld scanning devices, operation of warehouse equipment, and maintaining organized inventory documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels
- Utilize hand-held devices (scanner or tablet) to input count data
- Accurately count and report inventory findings
- Research, document, and report inventory discrepancies
- Review inventory locations to confirm correct product placement
- Conduct counts related to inventory shortages and overages
- Operate order picker lifts and forklifts on a ??????? basis
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records and documentation
- Follow safety rules, warehouse procedures, and inventory control standards
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
- Comfortable operating order picker lifts, standing reach lifts, and sit-down forklifts
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs consistently throughout the workday
- Willingness to work overtime as business needs require
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
- Ability to work at heights while operating order picker equipment
- Warehouse environment with varying temperatures
