Our client is growing their team and searching for an experienced Database Administrator to help strengthen and support their Software AG Adabas/Natural environment. In this role, you’ll be part of a team that keeps critical systems secure, reliable, and running at peak performance. The right candidate will not only bring deep technical expertise but also strong problem-solving skills, clear and confident communication, and a collaborative, team-first mindset. What You’ll Do:
  • Manage and administer Adabas databases and Natural Security.
  • Handle nightly backups, system refreshes, and database scripts.
  • Set up and maintain security and access controls.
  • Perform audits and support security reviews.
  • Install, configure, and maintain CONNX (or similar tools) and provide user support.
  • Document and guide changes through testing and production.
  • Keep the data dictionary accurate and up to date.
  • Identify and implement improvements to performance, security, and resilience.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts.

What We’re Looking For:
  • 8+ years of experience with Software AG Adabas and Natural.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Adabas databases and Natural Security.
  • Working knowledge of CONNX or similar tools.
  • Skilled in backups, restores, performance tuning, and scripting.
  • Experience with role-based access control and audit documentation.
  • Familiarity with software development/change control processes.
  • Knowledge of tools like NaturalONE, Predict, and EntireX.
