Our well known client in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced  Dental Assistant III to join their Advanced Education General Dentistry (AEGD) team. Under the supervision of the clinic manager and direction of the organizations providers, you will play a critical role in supporting specialty resident providers and ensuring exceptional patient care. This opportunity combines clinical expertise, patient care and operational support for the team. This role is a direct hire and fully onsite. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Help with chairside assistance, providing four handed dentistry techniques during patient treatments. 
  • Assist in procedures that range from general dentistry to advanced specialty care. 
  • Update and managed EHR system. 
  • Prepare treatment rooms for dental and surgical procedures.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after procedures.
  • Follow infection and control protocols and OSHA safety standards. 
  • Monitor surgical patients to ensure their safety after receiving anesthesia.
  • Capture and assist in capturing dental images such as periapical, panoramic, cephalometric, 3D scans, and intraoral scans. 
  • Manage dental supplies and inventory, including ordering and verifying deliveries. 
Qualifications: 
  • High School Diploma and completion of an accredited dental assisting program. 
  • 2 years of dental assisting experience 
  • Familiarity with four handed dentistry techniques and dental instrumentation. 
  • Current CPR Certification required. 
  • Radiology certification (or eligibility) preferred. 
  • Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR). 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced clinical environment.
