Our client is looking to hire a Director of Advocacy Services that will lead and oversee trauma-informed advocacy programs, ensuring high-quality, survivor-centered services. This position manages a team of 4–5 advocates (primarily new graduates), supports professional development, and ensures compliance with grant and program requirements.
This nonprofit organization serves survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault across Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union Counties. Their mission is to help individuals rebuild their lives through trauma-informed services, education, and advocacy.
This role is a direct hire and full time opportunity in Spartanburg, SC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee advocacy services and crisis response, including 24/7 on-call rotation
- Supervise, train, and evaluate staff; maintain staffing for 24/7 operations
- Manage program budgets, grant compliance, and reporting
- Foster community partnerships and represent the organization in outreach efforts
- Coordinate awareness campaigns and community education initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field required; Masters in Social Work is preferred
- 2–5 years supervisory experience in human services
- Knowledge of trauma-informed, survivor-centered practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel locally
- $50,000 – $60,000
