Our client is seeking an entry-level Client Operations Data Engineer to join their Client Operations team. This is a hands-on, hybrid role that blends data operations with process automation.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, solving problems, and building automation to make processes run smoother. You’ll start by managing client data files and supporting daily operations, while gradually increasing your focus on automation and efficiency projects using MySQL and Python.
You’ll report to the Client Operations Manager but will work closely with the Data Management team, gaining exposure to database management, process engineering, and workflow automation.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and process client data files accurately and on time, ensuring data integrity across systems.
- Review exception reports, troubleshoot discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve data issues.
- Develop, test, and implement automation solutions for client operations processes (e.g., data imports/exports, reporting, file exchanges).
- Maintain and improve existing automated processes, debugging errors and optimizing performance.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing for data workflows and automated tools.
- Communicate professionally with internal partners and external clients to clarify requirements and ensure deliverables are met.
What You’ll Bring
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MySQL for querying, validating, and maintaining data.
- Strong working knowledge of Python for scripting and process automation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data validation and reporting).
- Basic understanding of database administration concepts.
