Full-Time | Temporary to Hire | 100% Onsite

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Specialist to join a growing team in Columbia, SC. This is a full-time, temporary-to-hire opportunity.

Job Description

  • Process accounts payable and receivable; maintain accurate transaction documentation

  • Review general ledger activity and reconcile financial records

  • Maintain financial files and support record retention and audit readiness

  • Monitor federally funded project expenditures and verify grant reimbursement requests

  • Coordinate with the Grants & Programs team on budget review and financial documentation

  • Prepare internal financial reports and assist with audits, external reporting, and budget monitoring

  • Support the development of financial procedures, internal controls, and reporting improvements

  • Ensure compliance with federal financial regulations


Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree with four (4) years of relevant experience OR bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in accounting, finance, or grant financial management

  • Knowledge of accounting principles with hands-on experience in AP/AR and general ledger functions

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Hours

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • 100% Onsite

Compensation & Additional Information

  • $28–$31 per hour
