This role is responsible for managing the daily functions of a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) environment in support of multiple departments including engineering, operations, and business services. The position requires proficiency with GIS and CAD software to produce technical drawings and support spatial analysis across organizational units.
Key Responsibilities:

Support internal teams by compiling and analyzing geospatial and tabular data from diverse sources.

Perform ongoing updates and maintenance of the organization’s GIS databases.

Ensure data accuracy by conducting quality checks aligned with internal standards.

Import and align field-collected GPS data with enterprise geospatial systems.

Provide training to both technical and non-technical staff on GIS tools and workflows.

Manage software licenses and hardware inventory related to GIS systems.

Continuously evaluate and improve GIS processes, tools, and workflows.

Execute spatial analysis and develop GIS-based solutions to support decision-making.

Maintain and enhance automated scripting processes, primarily using Python.

Administer and curate the organization’s cloud-based GIS platform and associated web maps.

Create and revise CAD drawings as needed for operational use.

Update metadata documentation to reflect current data practices and systems.
