A construction services company in Greenville is hiring an HR Administrative Assistant to support the HR  department with administrative tasks. This position is responsible for maintaining employee records, ensuring HRIS data accuracy, and assisting with a wide range of HR-related clerical duties.

This is an on-site, permanent position with a great company offering a stable position and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to employee inquiries promptly, helping foster strong employee relations by providing accurate information and timely support.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming HR phone calls and monitor the main HR email inbox.
  • Complete all new hire onboarding tasks in the HRIS, including employment eligibility verification via I-9 and E-Verify processes.
  • Maintain and regularly audit I-9 documentation for compliance.
  • Ensure employee files are organized and current by filing documents into appropriate folders and digital systems.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, including employment verifications, wage garnishments, and other HR-related correspondence.
  • Prepare or assist with creating reports, HR-related documents, and communications as needed.
  • Support and maintain vehicle insurance documentation and compliance.
  • Perform general clerical duties such as scanning, mailing, emailing, and organizing documents.
  • Act as a backup for payroll processing when necessary.
  • Carry out additional tasks and projects as assigned by HR leadership.

Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of experience in an administrative capacity; HR experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • High attention to detail while maintaining an understanding of broader HR objectives.
  • Comfortable working under pressure with the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and the ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems.
  • Adaptable, organized, analytical, and customer-service oriented.
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Compensation:
  • $22-24/hour
