Human Resources Manager 

We’re partnering with a well-established, family-owned service provider to recruit an experienced HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function across 4-5 locations supporting approximately 100 employees, including technicians and drivers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a grounded HR professional who thrives in a hands-on role, enjoys building trusted relationships across a team, and is looking to make a meaningful impact in a growing company. This position offers flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with department managers.

 

  • You’ll step into a leadership role and take ownership of all core HR functions
  • You’ll work in a stable and growing business that’s served commercial and residential customers for over 50 years
  • You’ll support a workforce that spans multiple locations across the midlands and coastal regions of South Carolina and Augusta, GA

 

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding 

  • Collaborate with department managers on hiring strategy, candidate evaluation, and onboarding. Includes background checks, drug screens, and offer letters.

Benefits Administration 

  • Lead all benefits coordination, open enrollment, renewals, and vendor management

Payroll Oversight 

  • Manage or oversee payroll processing. Experience with Bamboo a plus

HRIS and Systems Management

  • Maintain employee records, run reports, and manage timekeeping

Compliance Support

  • Ensure compliance with labor law, company policies, and DOT hiring regulations.

Employee Relations & Manager Guidance 

  • Act as an HR advisor to department heads, providing support with employee relations, development planning, and policy interpretation.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience (Senior Generalist level or higher)
  • Minimum 2 years HR experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of benefits administration and payroll processes
  • Familiar with HR compliance including labor law and DOT onboarding requirements
  • Experience using HR software tools (e.g., BambooHR, QuickBooks, Employee Navigator)
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with leadership
  • Tech-savvy and detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

  • Onsite role located near Lexington SC
  • Flexible scheduling options (e.g., 7-4p 8–5p, 8:30–5:30p, etc)
