The Market Analyst is responsible for the collection of market information and the interpretation and reporting of key research insights for the local area. This role will assist with the development of thought leadership content working alongside regional and national experts. The Market Analyst studies the makeup, distribution, and trends affecting commercial real estate; collects statistical property data; analyzes data to identify opportunities and predicts future trends necessary to further the firm’s thought leadership content.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the collection, analysis, and production of quarterly and annual market reports adhering to corporate standards. Provides additional reports and thought leadership reports on an as-needed basis.
- Special research projects as directed by management for corporate proposals or specific client projects.
- Train other research staff to access and use research resources.
- Schedule data collection and verify the output of the work product produced by Research staff.
- Travel at least four times a year to each office and meet with brokerage staff. Additional travel as needed to those markets is also required to conduct visual research.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of experience in commercial real estate (Preferred)
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel (Required). Experience with InDesign (Preferred)
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within commercial real estate
- Excellent writing, analytical, and verbal presentation skills
