A company in Columbia is seeking a temporary Payroll and AP Specialist to help cover a leave period. The role will be roughly 6 – 12 weeks long and pays up to $30/hr.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate weekly payroll cycle for the organization 
  • Maintain employee data in both time & attendance and payroll software applications
  • Act as a liaison with Human Resources staff on employee profile data entry and records
  • Work with Senior Accountant to coordinate weekly accounts payable cycle, including data entry for invoices and weekly remote check printing, as well as monthly AP ledger closing
  • Respond to vendor requests and inquiries regarding payment status
  • Prepare required quarterly tax and information returns (sales tax, etc.)
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have at minimum:
  • Five years of experience in payroll and/or accounts payable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
  • Skilled in AP, Payroll and HRIS systems
