Job Summary
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist for a temporary position covering a maternity leave at an office on Pelham Road for 4-5 months. The right candidate for this position will have procurement experience, purchase order experience, plus experience in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times and will be comfortable doing a 4-5 month contract position through FGP for this company’s marketing department.
Duties
- Provide guidance on procurement processes
- Enter activities into internal systems and Smartsheet
- Obtain required prior approval documentation
- Quote, track, and manage expense budgets in internal marketing platforms
- Collect and upload proof of performance/execution
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and vendor guidelines
- Submit claims before deadlines with required documentation to maximize vendor reimbursement
- Manage payments and perform monthly reconciliation of expenses
- Support supplier onboarding, contract management, incentive tracking, and more
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Smartsheet experience not required, but a plus
- Strong data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in fast-paced, high volume, and/or quick deadline environments
- Knows how to request clarification when needed
- Must be comfortable with numbers and able to perform basic math
- Able to recognize and attend to important details .
- Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information
- Strong organizational, time management, and adaptability skills
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Comfortable with this being a temporary 4-5 month position (some possibility of permanent conversion after but not guaranteed)
- Comfortable working Monday-Friday either 8-5 or 8:30-5:30, etc.
- Comfortable working 100% in the office during training (1-2 days remote after training possible)
Pay/Benefits
- $25-$30/hour
- FGP offers contract employees benefits including minimum essential coverage insurance, a fixed indemnity plan and a 401k retirement plan once eligibility requirements are met.
- No PTO while contracted through FGP but company does have their own PTO structure and health benefits if this position converts to perm down the road (not guaranteed)
